| NEWS!Effective 7/17/08 The Flooring Mill has been purchased by Vermont Hardwoods of Chester, VT. Vermont Hardwoods has been a behind-the-scenes part of TFM since it's inception, providing storage and doing almost all of the milling for TFM orders. This transition has come about as Peter Heyniger, the originator of TFM, has found the business growing beyond his comfort zone. Since Vermont Hardwoods already had the infrastructure in place to accommodate the business and was familiar with not only the attention to detail so important to Peter, but also the process and even many of the customers, this seemed to be almost natural. Vermont Hardwoods has been making flooring since 1981, but Peter had used The Flooring Mill to establish products, standards and processes that seem to really fit with the needs of both contractors and homeowners. This successful partnership has blossomed over the last several years and now that they are firmly joined we are confident that they will only continue to improve.
