Select may be more at home in a farmhouse or colonial. The subtler character of a clear floor but with color variation lends the perfect touch for a more traditional look. Prime is everything suggested by the name. For the most elegant and formal of rooms you don’t want anything to detract from the rest of the decor. There will be natural color variation from board to board, but only the predominant color of the wood (light for light woods and dark for dark woods) will be present.
